很想看的演出... live score 是很有趣的一回事 2007年為Souni Per Il Popolo 音樂節進行的現場錄音 是第一次看的live score 由老煉多變實驗樂隊Cul de Sac 為1926年經典黑白電影 Faust 現場配樂 同樣是德國silent film, 帶點詭異色彩 Faust 與魔鬼條件交換的角力, 壯烈犧牲不死老套的愛 跟那近似post rock + avant garde 的配樂交錯瀊瀅 電影影像加上現場樂隊的演出的確加倍震撼 至今仍覺一絕
Do make say think 是Constellation 旗下的猛將 根源於Godspeed You! Black Emperor 並沒福分看GY!BE的演出卻看過Do make say think 感受那近似的磅礡無不起雞皮 加上Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy) 不要誤會了是電玩 是Owen 的藝名 美妙悠揚精密節奏looping的小提琴唱作人 單拖上陣的才華經已令人暈眩醉倒 與Arcade Fire, Bell Orchestra, Beirut, Patrick Wolf 等多次合作 今回與Do Make Say Think 的live score 絕對會是另一次精彩震撼
Toronto bands to perform live score to rare 1919 horror classic, Tales of the Uncanny.
Luminato, in association with NXNE and the Goethe-Institut, presents Do Make Say Think,Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy) and Berlin’s Robert Lippok performing a live accompaniment to one of Germany’s earliest silent horror films. Robert Oswald’s Tales of the Uncanny (Unheimliche Geschichten),was originally released to the German public in 1919 and has never before been seen in Canada.
